COMPUTER TRAINERS

Upbeat training professionals needed to create a fun and productive learning environment for computer training workshops.

The Computer Instructors / ICDL Test Administrators will be responsible for administering tests and providing on-site computer instruction and training; administering and maintaining attendance records, evaluations, tests and establishing a collaborative environment between all other support staff.  The Instructor will be required to deliver lively and engaging classroom discussions; create a fun and productive learning environment; identify related activities to enhance and supplement computer training; manage and resolve tough classroom situations; prepare reports; assist with client assessment / evaluation and make proper referrals / recommendations for final review.  Prospective candidates must be able to become ICDL certified within 15 days, have at least 2 years of experience delivering instructor-led training, and have experience developing lesson plans and information design.  Additionally, candidates must be familiar with and able to address technology competencies and performance indicators aligned to State and International (ISTE NETS*S) standards.  Ability to work independently, think strategically and manage multiple tasks is highly desirable.

Must be proficient with at least 3 of applications within the MS Office Suite and 1 or more of the following software applications:

Microsoft Publisher
Adobe Acrobat
Adobe Photoshop
Lotus Smart Suite
HTML 3.0 or Frontpage
Educational training Software

Additional duties include course development and design, preparation of reports and related administrative duties.

All applicants must have the following:

  • Must have excellent Internet skills and be proficient in the MS Office Suite,
    Windows XP, and E-mail applications. Knowledge of FTP and HTML is a plus.
  • Must have a great attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Must be capable of working with individuals of all ages.
  • Problem solving and trouble-shooting ability a must.
